Mary Ann Drew, 75, of Amarillo, Potter County, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
She was born in Big Sandy, Upshur County, Texas, to Theodore and Lee Ella Brown Williams. Mary Ann dedicated over twelve years of her life to nurturing children as the owner of M&M Child Care, alongside her daughter Mae. In addition to running a successful childcare business, she dedicated fifteen years of her life to being a foster parent providing love, support, and stability to those in need. Mary Ann enjoyed shopping, playing cards and dominoes, cooking with her sisters, home interior design, listening to music, and being around family were all things that brought her so much joy. Mary’s enthusiasm for spending time with family was truly heartwarming.
She went to be with the Lord hand in hand with her brother, Joe Lee Williams, on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Theo “Crawdad” and Lee Ella “Granny” Williams, brother, Joe Lee Williams, niece, Summer Sheree Williams, nephew, Benny Ray Williams, and great-grandson, Kei’Len K. Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memory, four daughters, Mae Jean Romaine, Shaadetta Drew, Janet Drew, and Lisa Drew Walker, six sons, Joe Wayne Williams, Jesse Rankins, Xavier Drew, Don Drew, Jr., James Drew, and Ray Don Drew, three brothers, Theo Williams, Jr., Tommy Lee Williams, Ivory Lee Williams, three sisters, Mary Lee Acosta, Ella Mae Drew, and Pearlie Ann Harris, and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, other relatives, and friends. She will be missed tremendously!
