Lois Ann Fisher, 77, of Amarillo, Randall County, Texas, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023.
She was born in Globe, Gila County, Arizona, to Van Luther and Ruby Lois Johnson Lewis. Lois was the oldest of five children. She graduated from Carver High School in 1964. She was well known for her fashion as she always dressed to impress. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, so much that she would be ready to come for anyone who had anything negative to say about them.
Lois enjoyed working on the Carver High School Reunion Committee until her health started to decline. Her favorite food was fried fish, salad, pork rinds, and boiled eggs, with a cold Dr. Pepper. Whenever she wanted a meal, you could probably guess what she was going to recommend without her saying a word.
A memory that we will all remember is her calling on our birthdays to sing happy birthday to us and cracking jokes about everything. Her laugh will be missed!
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Van Lewis and Don Lewis, and two grandsons, Semegea Smith and Suade Fisher.
She leaves to cherish her memory, four daughters, Carmen Brim (Joab), Vicky Lewis, Lisa Fisher, and Koi “Sherri” Fisher, eight grandchildren, Ashlee Woods (Sam), Chad Lewis, Blake Kelly, Skyler Fisher, Aundrea Somerville, Cidnea Fisher, Andre Lewis, and Chandler Smith (Victoria), fifteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, longtime companion, Harry Shorten, and a host of other relatives and friends.
